AI Product Leader Who Turns Complex Ideas Into Products People Can Use

I lead product strategy and stay close to the work of building. I use AI throughout research, design, coding, and testing to turn ideas into working products faster. I created and launched Practisim Designer Web, a 3D planning product that works across browsers, mobile devices, AR, and VR.

Professional positioning

Big-picture product leadership with a builder’s mindset.

I help teams understand what customers need, choose the right product direction, and turn that direction into something real. AI now helps me move from idea to working product faster.

01

I find the real customer problem

I start with what is slowing people down, then shape a product that is useful, different, and realistic to build.

02

I can lead the plan and help build it

I move comfortably from customer research and strategy to design, testing, launch decisions, pricing, and adoption.

03

I make complex tools easier to use

My career has focused on helping developers and creators succeed with technology that can otherwise feel difficult or fragmented.

Career highlights

Three product launches that shaped my career.

Each one took a difficult technology and made it useful to more people—from augmented reality and cloud infrastructure to robotics.

Magic Leap · 2022 — Present

OpenXR SDKs + Magic Leap Hub

Made it easier for developers to build and test AR products

The problem

Building for augmented reality can mean juggling different tools, device setup, app installation, testing, and platform-specific code.

What I led

I owned product strategy, roadmap, and launch work across Magic Leap’s OpenXR SDKs and Magic Leap Hub. Hub brought setup, software downloads, device management, app installation, capture, streaming, and troubleshooting into one desktop product.

Why it mattered

Developers gained a clearer starting point and a more standard way to build. OpenXR also made it easier for teams to create products that could work across more than one XR platform.

Skytap · 2018 — 2022

Skytap on Azure

Helped launch an industry-first path for IBM i workloads on Azure

The problem

Many large companies still depend on IBM i and other IBM Power systems. Moving those important applications to the cloud often looked too risky or required an expensive rewrite.

What I led

I led the product management team that brought AIX, IBM i, and Linux on IBM Power to Microsoft Azure and IBM Cloud. My work covered the product, pricing, packaging, licensing, and partner plan needed to bring it to market.

Why it mattered

Customers could move long-running business systems into the cloud with far fewer changes, then connect those systems to newer cloud services instead of replacing everything at once.

Microsoft · 2005 — 2012

Robotics Developer Studio 4

Brought Microsoft’s robotics platform to developers and educators

The problem

Robotics teams needed a more common way to build, test, and simulate software across very different types of robots and hardware.

What I led

I owned launch strategy for Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 4 through multiple beta releases. I connected the product team with hardware partners, educators, hobbyists, and commercial developers.

Why it mattered

The launch gave a broad developer community access to professional robotics and simulation tools, and helped partners show what could be built with the platform.

About

A product leader who knows how things get built.

I have spent more than 20 years turning new and complicated technology into useful products. My background includes developer tools, cloud software, mobile, robotics, AI, and spatial computing.

I’ve worked at Magic Leap, Skytap, Concur, Avalara, and Microsoft, and I build my own products through AncientSky Games. The common thread is simple: make difficult technology easier for people and businesses to use.

For recruiters and hiring managers
